Step 2;
Apply your request to the Association of Natural Private Reserves of
Guatemala (ARNPG for its initials in Spanish):
Give the file
with the complete information to the ARNPG. You must present the
file in original and two copies and a diskette with all the
information in Word program format. Internal activity of the ARNPG:
Deliver the request and file to CONAP. The Association delivers the
file to CONAP.
Step 3;
Technical
field inspection and technical opinion:
In order to
verify the information that you have presented, The Department of
Conservation Units of Conap will make a visit to the property. The
visit must be made in coordination with the owner. After the visit,
Conap issues a technical opinion that is transferred to the Legal
Department of this institution.
Step 4;
Legal Opinion:
The Technical
Department of Conap makes a study and issues the corresponding legal
ruling.
Step 5;
Approval of the CONAP:
Once with the
Technical and Legal opinion, the Executive Secretary of CONAP
presents before the council the documentation to approve the
declaration of Natural Private Reserve.
